This is an experimental piece. When I thought I was finished with Impatiens Cloud I compared it to an earlier version I painted in 2022 and found it lacking in interest and excitement. I continued to work the piece, praying to the Lord for inspiration and guidance. He led me to our Intermediate Oils class at the Academy Center of the Arts in Lynchburg, VA. We were studying temperature contrasts so I thought I might add variety to the background with those contrasts. The following week we investigated clouds so I added variety to the foreground with clouds. I'm glad I finished before we got to trees.
Matthew 7:7. Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.
